What your reading tells you, and what to do with it

What BDRI reads

BDRI looks at your business the way a customer does, from the outside. It checks four places customers use to find and reach a business: the Google Business Profile, the website, the Facebook Page and WhatsApp. Your stage is set by which of those are open, never by the score. It runs from No Doors Open, through Doors Opening (some open, but not every door your industry requires) and Expected Doors Open (every door your industry requires), to All Doors Open (all four). Your score, out of 100, shows how many of the four are open and how well each one is set up for your industry.

If something looks wrong

“Not found” means BDRI could not see it from the outside. If your business has one, use “Update your business details” and say where it is.

What the full breakdown adds

  • Every step for all four doors, in order for your goal.
  • How you compare with other businesses in your industry.
  • A new reading of your doors.
  • It is sent by email and costs nothing.

How BDRI reads each door

Add a business that is not in BDRI yet

Not every Bahamian business is in BDRI yet. Businesses are added as they are read, and yours can be added on request.

  1. You give the business name, at least one place it can be found online, and an email address for the results.

  2. Overnight, the Four Digital Doors are read from the outside.

  3. The reading arrives by email, and the business joins BDRI so anyone can look it up here.

Questions owners ask

What is the Bahamas Digital Readiness Index?

The Bahamas Digital Readiness Index (BDRI) is a free public index of how Bahamian businesses show up online. It reads four places customers look: the Google Business Profile, the website, the Facebook Page and WhatsApp. It is published by DDigiLeads.

What does my score mean?

Your score, out of 100, shows how many of the four are open and how well each one is set up for your industry. It sits beside your industry’s average and the national average so you can see where you stand. A lower score shows room to grow.

When was my business read?

The 2026 index was read between February and July 2026. A business is read again when its owner updates its details or asks for a breakdown. The date of the latest read shows on every reading as “Doors last read”.

My reading is wrong or out of date. How do I fix it?

Use “Update your business details” under your reading. Say what changed and where to find it.

My business is not in BDRI. How do I get it added?

Use “Add your business to BDRI” on this webpage. Give the business name and where it can be found online. BDRI reads it, the reading arrives by email within 48 hours, and the business joins BDRI.

What is in the full breakdown, and what does it cost?

The breakdown lists every step for all four doors, in order for the goal you pick, and shows how you compare with other businesses in your industry. It is written from a new reading of your doors and sent by email. It costs nothing.

Can I look up other businesses?

Yes. Any business in BDRI can be looked up by name or on the map. Pick an industry to see the businesses in it.

Who sees my email address?

DDigiLeads, which publishes BDRI, and the services that host the site and carry its email. Your email is used to send the reading or breakdown you asked for, and DDigiLeads may also email you about your reading and its services. You can opt out of those emails at any time by replying to one or writing to contact@bdri.bs, and you still get what you asked for. Looking a business up needs no email and no account.

Every reading in BDRI is public.
