Bahamas Digital Readiness Index · 2026 report

Annexes B, D, E and F

Annex B. Method detail

The report summarises its method at the back, in "How the BDRI was read": what was read and when, how the list was built, when a door counts as open, the score and the stages, and what the index cannot see. The scoring rules, the checks behind each door and the weight each door carries are published on the methodology webpage 1.

Annex D. Corrections log

This log opens with a correction made before publication. Each correction after publication gets a row here and a new PDF, dated on its cover. Readings taken after the lock are new measurements, not corrections, so they stay out of this log; the report sets them out in "How the BDRI was read".

What was wrongWhereWhat it now saysDate
A number of business records placed the business on Nassau and Paradise Island when it operates on another island, so those businesses were counted on the wrong island.Island counts and the figures compared by island (Google listing, WhatsApp and mean score), in sections 1.3 and 2.5, Part 6, "How the BDRI was read" and Annex AEach business is counted on its own island, and Nassau and Paradise Island hold 2,325 of the 2,600 businesses in the index. Scores, stages and door states did not change.

To report an error, use the briefing form on the For Institutions webpage, and we will check it and record the outcome in this log.

Annex E. Other sources

This table lists some of the other sources the report relies on: webpages from Google Business Profile Help, and two official figures, the Business Licence filers expected for and the employers paying National Insurance in . Each row gives the source's link, the date it was last checked and the sentence in the report it supports. The report has its own list of sources, headed "Outside sources used in this report", at the end of "How the BDRI was read".

Annex F. Readings register

This table lists the four readings of , taken after the lock, each with what it counts, its base and a query fingerprint, a code that names the exact query so the count can be run again. The report uses three of them: what Google listings carry and the payment options they show, in sections 3.1 and 3.3, and the businesses Google marks as closed, in "How the BDRI was read". The fourth, how many current estimates changed, is not printed in the report.
